Learn the Martial Art and Olympic Sport of Judo at Yorkeys Dojo. The Dojo has a 28m x 12m sports-specific training and competition mat area.
The largest in Qld & one of the largest in Australia.

We welcome police, fire, ambulance and ADF service departments, to use our facility FREE of charge for daytime defensive training classes.

Northern Beaches Judo Club is the only long term established Judo club in Cairns, first opening it’s doors in Cairns on July 2000 by Karl Michaelis.

Located in Yorkey’s Knob,15 minutes North of the CBD, we are a training and competition facility, with an enormous permanent mat area of 12 x 28 metres (Two 12 meter competition areas and a 12 x 4 metre warm-up area).
This makes it Cairns regions largest, most popular and well used judo competition and training camp facility.

All our coaches are N.C.A.S (National Coaching Accreditation Scheme) qualified, Blue Card (working with children check), and first aid qualified.
